Sutler Registration
The Morgan's Raid Committee recognizes the extremely valuable contribution
that authentic period sutlers make to our event, and we wish
to express our sincere appreciation to all reputable merchants who
choose us
for their schedule. Please accept our thanks for your consideration.
Following are some informational notes and the sutler rules that
the Committee has established for this event. Please be safe
on the road for all of your events!
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR SUTLERS
The Georgetown event has drawn as many as 800 reenactors before. The
site has very easy access, lying near the junction of two major interstate
highways and less than 2 miles off Exit 126 on I-75. The set-up
fee is $25 (non-refundable). Included in the fee is admission
for 2 people to the Grand Ball and Barn Dance.
Additional persons beyond two attending with your sutlery
must register for the reenactor price of $5, prepaid, or $7 non-prepaid
($3 for children 6 to 12 and under 6 free). There is a June
1, 2008 deadline for sutler registration. Sutlers registering
after this date do not receive the above amenities as part of the
$25 set-up fee.
Set-up starts Thursday, June 19, 2008
Noon-9:00 p.m. for set-up, no exceptions. Sutlers are required
to report to the Main Office prior to set-up.
Registration officially opens at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2008
SUTLER RULES AND REGULATIONS
All items sold must be consistent with the Civil War era. NO ball
caps, plastics toys, etc.
All sutlers must appear in period dress. No modern clothes, shoes,
or eyewear.
The sutler camp must appear to be consistent with a sutler camp
of the Civil War era. No modern items.
All books and music pertaining to the Civil War era will be allowed.
The Cardome Centre Director reserves the right to take any necessary
steps to enforce the Event Rules and Regulations and the Sutler Rules
and Regulations, including, but not limited to, barring any participant
from participating in any or all aspects of the event or expulsion
from the event.
